Burning Coal Theatre Company Reveals Lineup For WHAT TIL YOU SEE THIS! 2023

Burning Coal Theatre Company presents Wait Til You See This! 2023, its Second Stage Series of collaborations with rising young companies and artists. This year's collaborators include Equity Actor Susan Gross (Ruby written and starring Susan Gross), Switchyard Theatre (Or, by Liz Duffy Adams) and Pure Life Theatre (The Face of Emmett Till by Mamie Till Mobley and David Barr III). Ruby by Susan Gross performs Wednesday June 7th and Thursday June 8th at 7:30 pm, Saturday June 10th at 5 pm, Saturday June 17th at 5 pm, and Sunday June 18th at 2 pm and 6 pm at Burning Coal Theater. Tickets are $10 and available for purchase at Click Here.

The Face of Emmett Till by Mamie Till Mobley and David Barr III will perform Friday June 9 at 7:30 pm, Sunday June 11 at 2pm and 6pm, Wednesday June 14 at 7:30 pm, Thursday June 15 at 7:30 pm, Saturday June 17 at 7:30 pm at Burning Coal Theater. On May 18th, the 2023 Triangle Rising Star Awards took place through the Durham Performing Arts Center. This regional competition brings together high school musical theater students from Central and Eastern North Carolina to perform and compete for the chance to represent the Triangle in The National High School Musical Theater (otherwise known as The Jimmy) Awards in New York City on June 26th. The national competition celebrates outstanding student performances in high school musical productions from all over the United States. Shortly after the Triangle Rising Star Awards, I had the great pleasure of interviewing both of this year's winners, Noah Colvin of Enloe High School and Lilly Pritchard of Heritage High School.
