The indie cult classic movie Camp, which tells the story of a summer at theater camp based on the legendary Stagedoor Manor Center for Performing Arts, celebrates its 20th anniversary this summer and will feature a reunion of several cast members and a performance by campers at Stagedoor Manor.

The University of Nebraska Omaha College of Communication, Fine Arts, and Media, The School of the Arts, and UNO Theatre announce the first UNO Summer Musical Theatre Academy 2022.

CampYATC Teacher Megan Hilty says, “The only thing I don’t like about YATC, is it wasn’t around when I was a teenager!” Having returned to YATC numerous times, working professionals like Hilty acting as Summer Camp Master Class teachers is just one of the things that sets this summer camp apart from many others. The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, in partnership with Amateur Musicians Network and the San Francisco Symphony, launches its first-ever Orchestra Fantasy Camp in 2020, a new immersive performance opportunity for adult amateur musicians. The Orchestra Fantasy Camp at SFCM-Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2020-brings together 100 adult amateur musicians for an intensive weekend of symphonic music-making, culminating in a free public performance of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, led by Edwin Outwater, on Sunday, June 14, at 3:00 PM in Caroline H. Hume Concert Hall at SFCM.

Quest Theatre is now running PD Drama Camps for kids ages 9 - 12 at cSPACE King Edward, where they'll get the chance to try their hand at clowning, stage combat, mask, puppetry, musical theatre and improvisation on selected PD days throughout the school year.

Swift Creek Mill Theatre's annual performance camp ran July 22 through August 9. 23 student participants learned hands-on 21st Century Skills by producing and starring in their own show.

Who says you can't go home again? TV Producer Richie Jackson went “home” for the day to Long Island's Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts, where he attended from 1979-1981. 

On Tuesday, August 6th UN Celebrity Youth Activist and recording artist Meredith O'Connor visited the Long Island-based arts day camp, Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.  

On August 5th, Jazz saxophone player and singer Grace Kelly trekked out to Long Island's Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts—the pre-eminent visual and performing arts day camp in New York— to perform as part of the camp's daily Festival Program.

Sergio Trujillo, who recently won the 2019 TONY award for Best Choreography for Ain't Too Proud shared his journey to reaching his dreams with over 150 campers. Campers had the opportunity to hold this coveted theatre award while Sergio asked them to make a pledge with themselves to follow their dreams.
